Staff Impresses Robinson

McMinnville, Tenn., native Cody Robinson has always been impressed with the coaching staff at Syracuse University and that is still carrying a lot of weight for the offensive lineman. He talked to us on Thursday night about his impending visit and thoughts on Syracuse.

Cody Robinson, a 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive guard from Warren County Senior High School hasn't narrowed his list of schools yet, but he has been in constant contact with the Orange staff.

"I've been talking to Syracuse a whole lot," Robinson stated. "I've been watching them play and learning more about the program. They've played well and are showing some very good spots when they're out there on the field. They've got some very good players and I see them going in the right direction out there."

"I mainly talk to Coach (Greg) Adkins and Coach (Doug) Marrone and we just talk about how my season is going and how theirs is going and how I would fit into the program up there," Robinson explained. "I'm probably going to take a visit up to Syracuse later on after my season, so I'm just trying to figure out when at this point."

"I really like the coaching staff. They have a great staff, it's an up and coming program and I think the school and city really supports the program a lot. The offensive line coaching up there is tremendous between Coach Adkins and Coach Marrone and there is just a lot of experience between those guys."

Robinson hasn't narrowed his list down yet, but he is focusing on the schools that have offered him scholarships. His team is off to a 1-3 season and has a big game on Friday against Sparta.
