Ready to Visit Syracuse

Defensive lineman Silverberry Mouhon is still waiting on other offers and isn't near making a decision, however he has been talking to Syracuse with regularity and has a great amount of interest in making a visit to the school and learning more about the program.

Silverberry Mouhon, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound defensive end from Norcross High School in Norcross, Ga., talked to us on Thursday night about his recent talks with offensive line coach Greg Adkins.

"As a matter of fact, I was talking to Coach (Greg) Adkins last night who is recruiting me and he was just asking me how school was and how my game went," Mouhon said. "He was talking to me about the defensive ends and that they like their guys to be speed rushers that just get up field and get to the quarterback, so that interested me a lot. Coach Adkins really thinks I fit exactly what they need in a defensive end up there."

"I'm going to visit Syracuse during my off week or whenever it is good for them," Mouhon stated. "He didn't have an exact date for me last night, but he said once he finds a good time he'll let me know when I can come up and visit."

"I've always known they had a great basketball school and as a football program always get to the quarterback, but I do need to learn a lot more about the program which is why I want to take a visit," Mouhon explained. "I'd like to learn more about what they've accomplished as a program, what their main goals are and what the atmosphere is like amongst the players. I want to know if they bond with one another and how they treat each other up there. Syracuse is a little bit far and I don't have any family up in New York, so that last part is going to be a big deal for me. If you're close with your team and coaches, you play for each other and I'll need that with no family around."

Norcross is 3-0 on the season so far and Mouhon has 18 tackles and two sacks in those games.
