Williams Likes Syracuse

The Syracuse Football Program looks like they're trying to develop a pipeline with powerhouse Denver Mullen High School after picking up quarterback Jonny Miller last season and one of the top recruits the Orange are going after this year from the school is receiver Rayshon Williams.

Rayshon Williams, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver from Mullen High School in Denver, Col., watched his signal caller commit to Syracuse last year and while he is currently interested in many schools, the Orange are definitely in the mix.

"I do like Syracuse a lot and I was talking to Coach (Nate) Hackett a while ago and he just said they're really interested in me," Williams said. "He likes how physical I am and that I'm a playmaker, so I guess that's why they're recruiting me. I definitely think I bring athleticism to the field and am versatile. I can definitely make plays out there and I can play all three receiver positions and safety as well."

"I like the school itself so far and the coaching staff seems really cool as well," Williams stated. "Jonny Miller who was my quarterback last year committed there last year and if I went up there we could do some good things together, so I do think about that a little bit with them. It's definitely a plus. Other then that, I haven't got into too much detail with them, so I might take a visit there. I have to figure that out."

"I hope to make my decision by the end of December or January, so hopefully they'll be in my top three. We'll find out."

As a junior, Williams had 48 catches for 740 yards and nine touchdowns. He also had six punt return touchdowns.

Williams is also the cousin of current Miami Dolphin wide receiver Brandon Marshall.
