Virgile Still Interested

Keeon Virgile is a talented outside linebacker that mentions Syracuse along with five other schools as some programs that he is holding in high regards right now and we spoke to him about his contact with the Orange staff on Wednesday night.

Keeon Virgile, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound outside linebacker from North Miami Beach High School likes Syracuse, but would like to talk to them a little bit more and then set up an official visit.

"I'm interested in Syracuse, but I haven't talked to them since the season started," Virgile stated. "I haven't really heard from them, but my phone was disconnected for a bit, so they could have called then. I'm not really sure."

"I like that they're a private school and offer a good education first of all," Virgile said. "They also have a very good defensive coordinator. The staff says that they really like my speed at outside linebacker and my playmaking ability. The coaches that I have talked to have been cool with me and I'd like to take an official visit up there to learn more about the school."

"I really like Syracuse, Nebraska, Georgia, South Florida, Kansas and Kansas State that have offered me," Virgile explained. "I'm definitely waiting until after the season like the rest of my teammates to take any visits or make a decision, so I have some time."

As a junior, Virgile made 89 tackles, 11 sacks and six forced fumbles.
