McNamara's three with 8:36 put the Orangemen up 50-43 – and Syracuse never looked back.

The Orangemen trailed early, 14-2, and found themselves behind 31-25 at halftime. But McNamara's three with 14:26 left in the second half gave Syracuse its first lead of the game, 40-39.
The Orangemen advanced to the Sweet 16 with the win and will face Auburn in Albany, N.Y.
