Wiggins Excited About Orange

Kyle Wiggins was supposed to visit Syracuse to see them take on the Huskies a few weeks ago, but he was unable to make the trip. If we took one thing from our conversation with him on Wednesday, it's that this cornerback is very sincere with his interest toward the Orange.

Absegami High School cornerback Kyle Wiggins already brings great size to the field as a junior at 5-foot-11, 200 pounds and boasts a 4.45 40-yard dash to go along with that frame. He is hearing from plenty of other schools and his biggest regret in recruit thus far is missing a trip to see Syracuse play a few weeks back.

"I was supposed to go see Syracuse play against Connecticut and I couldn't get a ride up there and I was really disappointed," Wiggins said. "From what I've read and seen on TV, I really like how they play football and do things there, so I'm really hoping to get another opportunity to go up there and take a visit as I'm very interested in them."

"I read about their coaching staff and it sounds like they just have a great staff assembled," Wiggins added. "I've been told they're really like a family up there and that they all play for each other up there. When I see them on TV, you can see a ton of energy on the field and no matter what's going on those guys really cherish the moments they have on the football field. Everybody just plays for the team, not the name on the back. It's all about the name on the front and I love that about them."

"I'm definitely trying to call and get hold of the coaches right now, but I don't think they can call me back during this dead period," Wiggins stated. "I'd definitely love to see a game there or go up in the spring and just see their campus or something. That's a school I have a lot of interest in learning more about."

As a junior, Wiggins had 25 tackles, four pass breakups and one interception.
