Gallo Excited About Offer

The Orange seem to be spending some extra time in Eastern Pennsylvania early in this recruiting class and they just offered another Suburban One League prospect in Council Rock South High School tight end/defensive end P.J. Gallo.

P.J. Gallo, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound tight end from Holland, Pa., received his first offer from Syracuse and wasn't just excited because it was his first offer, but was excited because it was from Syracuse. A former player from his high school is a member of the Orange squad right now and that player has filled Gallo in on what it's like to be a part of the family.

"Syracuse just offered me and they said they like me on both sides of the ball," Gallo stated. "I talked to Coach Greg Adkins and he said that he saw my film and that he wanted me to come up for spring ball to watch some practices. He said that he'd like to have me at tight end because he's an offensive coach and while I like both, I'd like to be a tight end at the next level."

"I was really excited to get an offer from them," Gallo exclaimed. "It's a great school and a great football program to get recognized by. I watched them a good amount this year. One of our former players Justin Pugh is up there right now and I've been talking to him a lot lately. He's recruiting me for Syracuse right now and has been welcoming me with open arms."

"He loves it up there and hasn't had one bad word to say about his experience while he's been up there," Gallo added. "I'm definitely excited to get up on campus as I've heard great things about it. I also think they're on an upward trend and see big things happening for them in the future. They were struggling for a few years there, but things have really turned around in a hurry here lately."

As a junior, Gallo led his team in receptions with 10 catches for 203 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a team-leading 83 tackles.

Gallo reports a max bench press of 255 pounds and a max squat of 420 pounds.
