"I spoke with coach (Tyrone) Wheatley yesterday," Walls said. "They filled up (with scholarships)."
This means that either Syracuse has pulled in an additional commitment or two under the radar or that position-wise, the school felt that another running back or linebacker was not needed. Walls explained the situation further.
"They got a swarm of commits these last couple of days," he said via text message. "I'm cool with it though, it just wasn't meant to be."
Walls, who is being recruited as an athlete for a few schools while others tab him as specifically a linebacker or running back, will continue taking official visits over the weekend. He has offers from several schools, but it appears as if Cincinnati, Louisville, North Carolina State and Toledo have the best shot at landing the versatile Rhodes High School (OH) prospect.
