Big East left out of Top 25

The Big East has been in flux all season long, and the football programs in the conference have not lived up to preseason hype in the process. As the AP Top 25 was released after Week 11, not a single school representing the league made the cut while schools from eight other conferences did.

Not only has Syracuse dealt with a three-game slide since defeating then AP No. 11 West Virginia, but now the win loses more luster as the Big East fails to have a representative in the Top 25 this week. Cincinnati, SU's next opponent after the bye week, was the lone rep last week. The Bearcats not only lost to WVU, but starting quarterback Zach Collaros was lost for the season with a knee injury.
