Provo Named Mackey Award Semi-Finalist

Nick Provo has been one of the few consistent threats in the Syracuse passing game, and people all over the country are taking notice.

Nick Provo has set the Syracuse mark for catches in a season by a tight end, with 43, and he is tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns with six. The numbers and consistent play has landed him a spot on the John Mackey Award Semi-Final List. Only seven other tight ends in the country made the cut, and Provo is the lone Big East pass-catcher in the final eight.

The award, given annually to the best collegiate tight end in America, will be presented on December 8. However, the finalists for the award will be announced on November 21.

Provo has 453 yards to his name as well, hauling in at least three passes in nine of the 10 games he has played in this season.
