SU Slips in Polls

Syracuse lost much more than a game when it went down in South Bend over the weekend. The Orange slipped in both polls, even further than most thought...

Syracuse suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday, falling 67-58 to Notre Dame before the Irish fans stormed the court.

Playing without Fab Melo, SU had little presence inside and it resulted in a big deficit early and the Orange was never able to get within striking distance.

On Monday, the new polls came out - and Syracuse was not atop both for the first time in seven weeks. Not only did it slip, but it fell further in the Coaches' Poll.

Atop each was Kentucky, followed by Missouri. SU held the No. 3 spot in the Associated Press Poll, but slipped to No. 4 in the ESPN/Coaches Poll behind No. 3 Ohio State. Kansas was fifth in both polls.
