Joseph, Jardine, Waiters named All-BIG EAST

After leading the Orange to a historic 30-1 regular season and a No. 2 ranking for most of the year, three Syracuse standouts were honored when the Big East named its all conference teams.

The Big East Conference named its regular-season teams following the end of the year on Sunday morning.

Kris Joseph led the Orange in scoring at over 14 points per game, Scoop Jardine led the team in assists at over five per and Dion Waiters was a constant spark off the bench on both ends of the floor - leading the team in steals and was second on the team in scoring.

The campaign landed all three on the All-BIG EAST team.

All-BIG EAST First Team:

Jeremy Lamb (UConn), Jason Clark (Georgetown), Jae Crowder (Marquette), Darius Johnson-Odom (Marquette), Kris Joseph (Syracuse) and Kevin Jones (West Virginia).

All-BIG EAST Second Team:

Sean Kilpatrick (Cin), Jack Cooley (ND), Jordan Theodore (SHU), Scoop Jardine (Syracuse), Maalik Wayns (Villanova)

All-BIG EAST Third Team:

Henry Sims (GU) Vincent Council (Providence), Herb Pope (SHU), Dion Waiters (Syracuse), Darryl Bryant (WVU).

Individual awards, including Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Sixth Man and Sportsmanship Award will be announced on Monday. On Tuesday, the conference will announce Player, Rookie, Coach and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
