Syracuse signed 22 recruits in the Class of 2012, but not many were top-notch prospects from day one of the initial rankings all the way through National Signing Day – with the exception of TE Ron Thompson. Will 2013 yield more than one? Or any at all?
With a new year comes new opportunities, and the staff has offered a dozen undeclared prospects in the first rankings of the year, not counting the bevy of players holding SU offers that have committed to Michigan like five-star signal caller Shane Morris and company.
Landing even one of the players listed below would be major for the Orange considering they reeled in just one four-star in 2012 (Thompson) among players coming out of high school. Ashton Broyld was a four-star out of Milford Academy (NY).
