12 ‘Cuse Targets Crack Scout 300

It's one thing for the theory of Syracuse football shooting for the moon with big name recruits, but the number's didn't lie when Scout released its initial Top 300 for the Class of 2013

Syracuse signed 22 recruits in the Class of 2012, but not many were top-notch prospects from day one of the initial rankings all the way through National Signing Day – with the exception of TE Ron Thompson. Will 2013 yield more than one? Or any at all?

With a new year comes new opportunities, and the staff has offered a dozen undeclared prospects in the first rankings of the year, not counting the bevy of players holding SU offers that have committed to Michigan like five-star signal caller Shane Morris and company.

Landing even one of the players listed below would be major for the Orange considering they reeled in just one four-star in 2012 (Thompson) among players coming out of high school. Ashton Broyld was a four-star out of Milford Academy (NY).
