Syracuse Heading to Pittsburgh

When the NCAA Tournament field was announced, it was no surprise that Syracuse landed the No. 1 seed in the East region.

If the dream matchup between Syracuse and Kentucky is to happen, it will have to be in the National Championship game.

The Wildcats were named the No. 1 overall seed in the Tourney, while the Orange was the second seed in the Big Dance.

North Carolina (Midwest) and Michigan State (West) were the additional No. 1 seeds. The bracket breaks down with Syracuse and North Carolina meeting in a potential Final Four matchup should the top seeds advance.

As for the rest of the East bracket, Syracuse will have to hold off No. 2 seed Ohio State, No. 3 seed Florida State, Fourth-seeded Wisconsin and No. 5 seed Vanderbilt among others including familiar foes Cincinnati (No. 6 seed) and 10th-seeded West Virginia.
