Chris McCullough Names Leader

2014 5-star forward Chris McCullough has been recruited by some of the top programs in college basketball. Entering his junior year, he has named a leader in his recruitment. spoke to him about who the leader is, and why they stand out.

Chris McCullough is one of the top forwards in the 2014 class. The 5-star prospect has drawn interest from college basketball's elite. As he enters his junior year, he has a leader in his recruitment.

"Yeah Syracuse is my leader right now," McCullough told

Syracuse has recruited McCullough the longest, and has made him a high priority for the 2014 class. The work the staff has put into recruiting him has paid off.

"They stand out because I have the best relationship with the coaching staff," McCullough explained. "I like those guys."

Another factor is his relationship with fellow 2014 5-star Isaiah Whitehead. Whitehead is being recruited hard by Syracuse. McCullough says that is a big factor as well.

"Yeah we talk about going to Syracuse together," he said. "That is part of it too."

While no decision is imminent, Syracuse is in a great position to land the top player on their board for 2014.
