Roberson Chooses Syracuse

Syracuse received another commitment as four-star wing Tyler Roberson pledged to the Orange on Friday. It was Syracuse's fifth commitment in their 2013 class.

It had already been a big week for Syracuse basketball as their four commits all signed during the early signing period. But add to that receiving a fifth commitment from a four star wing makes the week even better.

Tyler Roberson announced his decision to play for Syracuse on Friday. He chose Syracuse over Villanova and Kansas. It had been believed that Syracuse and Villanova were the front runners for some time. Down the stretch of his recruitment, Syracuse pulled ahead.

"They're going into the ACC next year which is going to be a really good conference," Roberson told a national television audience. "Coach Boeheim is one of the best coaches in the country. They're just a really good team."

The talented New Jersey product is the fifth commitment in a talented 2013 class for the Orange. He joins Tyler Ennis, B.J. Johnson, Chinonso Obokoh, and Ron Patterson as Syracuse pledges.

But the Orange might not be done with their 2013 class despite having five commitments. They will continue to pursue five-stars Dakari Johnson and Andrew Wiggins
