Early Enrollees Enjoying Campus Life

The coaching change came at a bad time for some recruits in Syracuse's 2013 class. For others, they have already arrived on campus as they start their college careers. Those prospects give their thoughts inside.

Four members of the 2013 class are already on the Syracuse campus becoming familiar with the college routine. JUCO linebacker Luke Arciniega, JUCO offensive lineman John Miller, JUCO linebacker Josh Kirkland, and offensive lineman Jonathan Burton are all starting their Orange careers.

"I got here Saturday night," Arciniega said. "Just getting classes together and football stuff done. Campus is real nice and I love it so far. I've only been here a couple days but I'm 100% happy with my decision."

Jonathan Burton echoed similar sentiments as he looks to compete for a role along the offensive line.

"Yeah I'm on campus," Burton said. "I really like it a lot. No complaints."

Josh Kirkland took to Facebook to express his love of his new home.

"First meal at the caf!" Kirkland wrote. "Beats Butler's caf any day!!"

Kirkland later tweeted that the bus routes are confusing, but he seems to be enjoying his time there other than that.

John Miller is also on campus. Others have said he appears to be enjoying things and assimilating well.

Originally, Trevon Trejo, Darius Kelly, Wayne Williams, and Isaiah Johnson were supposed to be starting their collegiate experience as well. However, each has stated they will arrive on the Syracuse campus in May instead.

The good news for Orange fans is that each has said they are still solid Syracuse commits despite the coaching changes.
