"It feels good, feels real good," said Hodge. "I'm excited."
He described why Syracuse is the right fit for him. "It's a private school so they have good academics and I wanted a place away from home so I learn to like live on my own," Hodge expressed.
Speaking on Eskridge, Hodge said, "He played football for my school, so I [have] known him for some time. Even when he was at Syracuse, I was talking to him when I was here at my high school. Same thing with Ollie (Oliver Vigille)."
Hodge shared that both Eskridge and Vigille helped get his name written on the dotted line for Syracuse. "They was like telling me new things, showing me around the place," Hodge remarked. "Oliver was my host so he was showing me around, how things work up there in Syracuse. It was nice. I loved it."
