Rob Moore Gains Three

Former Orange receiver turned receiver mentor, Moore shares his take on the 2013 signees that will join his receiving core with inside.

With Doug Marrone at the helm of the Syracuse Orange football program, there were no wide receivers included in the 2013 recruiting class.

After his departure, receivers started to form blips on the radar.

Three of those blips turned into signatures, with Corey Cooper, Corey Winfield, and Brisly Estime joining wide receiver coach Rob Moore's unit.

Sharing his thoughts first on Cooper, Moore said, "Obviously, he's got a lot of speed, but I think, at the end of the day, he makes plays. I don't think you could ever underestimate a player that makes plays. You turn on the tape, and he makes big plays. He makes the normal plays. He makes the dynamic plays. He just makes a lot of plays and is a talented young man."

"It's gonna be great," Moore shared of bringing in wide receiver Corey Winfield. "I think, if anything, the level of competition in my room is gonna be outstanding."

Moore transitioned to the third and final receiver added to the Orange, stating, "Also, we have Brisly [Estime] coming in as well."

The wide receiver coach described Estime as, "A little guy that's dynamic."

"[He] is gonna help the return game, be great in the slot. He's an explosive guy," he continued. "But, I think the thing that really jumps out at you on tape is how tough he is. You watch him on defense come up and hit people, it's impressive. So, I think we got a steal with that young man."

Cooper, Winfield, and Estime will be joined by other members of the Orange working toward an opportunity on the field in Ben Lewis, Quinta Funderburk, and Alvin Cornelius, III.

Add in the likes of Jarrod West, Jeremiah Kobena, and Christopher Clark, each of whom saw action last season and Moore will have plenty of weapons in his arsenal to start the Spring.
