Jim Boeheim has done more than be a collegiate basketball head coach. He goes beyond the 900+ wins, seasons with 20+ wins, tournament appearances, and the 2003 national championship.
His care for the community is something that cannot be described in mere numbers.
Both Jim and his wife, Juli Boeheim, began their foundation to assist in the improvement of the lives of children living in central New York, including those who are facing cancer.
The Boeheims describe their upcoming 14th-annual Basket Ball Gala, along with Excellus Bluecross Blue shield, which will be held on Saturday, April 27th, at Turning Stone Casino. They have raised more than $4.4 million through this yearly event alone to help children living in the community surrounding Syracuse University.
Along with speaking on the event, Jim shares why him and his wife started the foundation in the first place.
The Syracuse Orange head coach closes by addressing questions on the team, including making strong statements about their defense.
