Syracuse is going hard after Tucker (GA) safety Kirk Tucker. He is the high school teammate of 2013 Orange signee Alex Hayes. The new staff is using that to try to get Tucker to become part of their 2014 class.
"I talked to the whole coaching staff last week," Tucker admitted. "They really want me to come up there and play with my teammate Alex Hayes, who signed there. They just kept saying how much they want me."
Hayes is helping as well, as he talks to Tucker on a somewhat regular basis. Hayes tells Tucker about why he should choose Syracuse as well. The 3-star safety has admitted in the past that playing with a friend at the college level would mean a lot to him.
As Syracuse continues to host 2014 prospects during the spring, Tucker could be on that list. He does not have a visit scheduled yet, but is hoping to make the trip north sometime soon.
"I'm supposed to visit my family in New York soon," Tucker claimed. "But I'm not sure yet. I want to visit the school though."
Tucker added that he has "moderate interest" in the Orange right now, but is interested in visiting and getting to know more about the school.
