Two 2013 Syracuse commits got a taste for what life is like as a member of the Syracuse football team as they observed practice on Sunday. Chauncey Scissum and Austin Wilson spent time on the field watching as their future teammates battled each other during a competitive scrimmage.
"I thought it went good," Scissum said. "There were a lot of athletes out there."
"I thought it looked pretty good," added Wilson. "The team's still learning the new offense but it seems to be coming along."
The intensity level of the practice was something that stood out to both Scissum and Wilson.
"I felt it was high," Scissum admitted. "The calls were coming in fast so there was little time for thinking. You just had to go."
"I thought the intensity was great," Wilson declared. "And the way the defense was blitz happy is only going to help our offense."
Being able to observe such a high energy practice only elevated the level of anticipation for both to start their Syracuse careers.
"It made me more excited and anxious to get out there," Wilson offered.
"It made me feel even more ready to come in," Scissum stated. "After seeing how I compared to the corners and safeties size, I feel like I can come in right away and get on the field."
Both Scissum and Wilson will be joining the Syracuse program over the summer.
