Quick Hitter: NJ DE Visits Syracuse

Bridgewater (NJ) Chris Carter defensive lineman took the short trip to the Syracuse campus for their annual Spring Game. He discusses the visit inside.

Syracuse hosted several 2014 prospects on campus during their Spring Game weekend. One of the under the radar prospects was Bridgewater (NJ) product Chris Carter.

"I really enjoyed my visit to Syracuse and all the coaches were nice," Carter recalled. "I met with the defensive line coach Tim Daoust and talked a little. He invited me down to some summer camps. Then I went to watch their Spring Game which was nice."

During his conversation with Coach Daoust, Carter says they discussed a visit over the summer to attend one of Syracuse's camps. If he performs well, an offer could come at that point.

"Yeah I hate some dates written down at home," Carter admitted. "He told me they were going to stop in school within the next few weeks and let me know then. They wanted to see me at their camp before any offers. He said they're recruiting me at defensive end or possibly defensive tackle."

Carter is still looking for his first offer, but has received interest from Georgia, Rutgers, Maryland, and Temple in addition to the Orange.
