"It was good," Brosnan said. "I really liked everything. I was pretty impressed. I flew into Boston a couple days ago. I visited Boston College and Harvard. Me and my mom drove into Syracuse yesterday. We got there about 4:30pm and had a whole itinerary already planned out for us.
"It was really organized, they did a really nice job, and I had a really good time. I met a lot of the coaches and met the strength coach. Overall a really good trip, really good experience. I'm glad I came."
The highlight of the trip for Brosnan was getting a better feel for the coaching staff. He was able to speak with several coaches, including a couple that weren't on campus.
"We talked to Coach (Tim) Lester who was great," Brosnan detailed. "He showed us around the campus and facilities with a couple of the recruiting coordinators (Eric White). Yesterday we were on a conference call with the o-line coach (Pat Perles) and the offensive coordinator (George McDonald).
"We were on the phone with them for probably about an hour. We came back in and met the head coach (Scott Shafer), Coach Shafe. We talked with him for an hour and a half. We were just talking and going over what his principles are, his values. He just seems like a great guy and a great coach."
While he didn't consider committing during the visit, Brosnan says he leaves Syracuse very impressed with the program.
"This trip, I'm really glad I did it," Brosnan declared. "It's one of my first, I had a few schools but, it was kind of my first serious visit. When I thought of Syracuse, I thought it was a great place. This trip definitely met those expectations.
I was really impressed with everything. I'm really glad I came. With Syracuse, they're definitely seriously being considered. When I go to other schools I'll be comparing them to Syracuse."
The Orange aren't the only school that will have the chance to impress the 6-foot-6 tackle. He has several visits in his plans for the rest of the summer.
"I'd like to get down to U of I, Illinois," Brosnan admitted. "I'm going to check that out. I'm probably going to get down to Vanderbilt in the next month or so. I'm probably going to Wisconsin. I've been talking to some of the Stanford coaches. I might go to their camp. They really want me to come camp there.
Maybe Maryland in a couple months. It'll be tough to get there though. Just see a bunch of schools to see where I fit in best. But I really enjoyed Syracuse. I thought it was a real good place."
Brosnan added he would like to try to get back to Syracuse over the summer as well.
