Robinson Adds 'Cuse Offer

The 2015 class may be a ways away, but that isn't stopping Syracuse from identifying talented prospects early in the process. During the evaluation period, Andre Robinson picked up an offer from the Orange. He discusses the latest inside.

As Syracuse continues to work hard on the 2014 class, they are still paying attention to prospects from future classes. During the evaluation period, 2015 running back Andre Robinson from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg (PA) was offered by the Orange.

"They came to my school," Robinson recalled. "I think it was a little bit before memorial day. I forget which coach it was but he was checking out some of the guys. He told my coach he liked my film and everything. He said they offered and it was a no brainer they were going to offer me. He told my coach that I could come to camp this summer but I didn't really need to.

"But I definitely want to get up to campus next year to visit and everything. I want to get up to a game this year, stuff like that. Then maybe visit the campus next spring or something. I want to make my decision as soon as I know where I want to go. So I want to get all of that stuff out of the way so I can check out all the schools I'm looking at and make that decision."

Robinson was happy to add Syracuse to his offer list that includes most of the big name schools in the northeast.

"It was cool," Robinson explained. "It was definitely cool. I actually went home and looked up all of the coaches. I looked up their offense and I like their offense. I definitely like how close it is and being in New York, it seems like a great place to be.

"I like them. I like their offense. They've had some good running backs in the past couple years. I definitely like that they're in New York and close to New York City and everything. That's cool. It's just a good offense and I like the city. I definitely have interest in them and want to get up there as soon as I can."

Still early in the process, Robinson says he will continue to work towards more offers. He believes they will come if he continues to develop.

"I have offers from Pittsburgh, Maryland, Boston College, Penn State and Rutgers also offered," Robinson said. "I like all those schools but I also like schools like Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame. I plan on going to see those schools my junior year. I want to get up to some schools like that and visit. Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and those schools.

"It's good but I'm not satisfied. I just use it as motivation to get offers from everywhere. I'll keep working hard. I mean I'm happy with that, but it's not enough. Pitt and Penn State are coming at me the hardest for now."
