As Syracuse looks for defensive back prospects to add to their 2014 class, more and more prospects emerge at the position. One who was offered somewhat recently is three star Everett (MA) cornerback Lubern Figaro.
"Syracuse offered about a month ago," Figaro recalled. "One of the coaches came to the school. He told my coach he wanted to offer me. About three weeks later, I was told to call them. When I called, they said I had an offer from Syracuse. I've stayed in contact with them somewhat since then.
"They like how I'm physical and how I come off the corner. They like my cover skills and my athleticism."
Still learning about the program, Figaro does have an interesting connection to the Orange program. That connection could help Syracuse and allow the 6-foot-1 prospect to learn more about the Orange.
"All I know is that one of my coaches, Diamond Ferri, went to that school," Figaro claimed. "I haven't talked to him about that yet. He didn't know I got offered until recently. I'm going to talk to him about that though.
"I want to visit sometime this summer. I don't know when yet."
Despite not knowing much about the program and having not been on campus, Figaro says Syracuse is one of several schools coming at him the hardest.
"Right now, B.C., Michigan State, Vandy, and Syracuse are coming at me the hardest," Figaro explained. "I'm looking for academics and where I stand on the depth chart. If I would get on the field soon.
"I want to decide, hopefully, sometime between mid-July and mid-August."
