Lawrence Moten was not given the backing when he came to Syracuse University that he could lead the Orange in scoring.
He most certainly was not predicted to be atop all Big East Conference players in career points.
But that did not matter to the Washington, D.C., native.
Scoring no less than 500 points in each of his four seasons, Moten put together a total of 2,334 career points, enough to place his name above all Orange players in team history and all Big East players in conference history.
Even sweeter is that despite not playing for Syracuse since the mid-1990s, when he took to the court of Syracuse's practice facility at the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center, he looked like he never skipped a beat.
