Parris Bennett Commits to Syracuse

A big recruiting weekend continues to be fruitful for Syracuse as they landed their second commitment in as many days. University of Detroit Jesuit (MI) linebacker Parris Bennett committed to the Orange during an unofficial visit on Saturday.

Three star linebacker Parris Bennett certainly had options with double digit offers. He had already visited Pittsburgh, one of his two major conference offers and left the trip uncommitted. Two days after his visit to his other major offer,Syracuse, Bennett pulled the trigger and committed to the Orange.

Bennett left the Orange campus on Sunday andvisit made him feel at home. After spending time with friends and family and weighing his options, he decided Syracuse was the best fit.

Syracuse made Bennett a priority when they visited him multiple times during the evaluation period. Despite already having two commitments at outside linebacker, Bennett was still near the top of Syracuse's board.

The Detroit (MI) University of Detroit Jesuit OLB became the sixth member of Syracuse's 2014 class, and third linebacker. He chose the Orange over Pittsburgh, Akron, Bowling Green, Toledo, Western Michigan, and several others.
