Onto Summer League: Michael Carter-Williams

After being drafted in the lottery, Carter-Williams is not looking to make the team but rather make a case to be in the starting five. More inside.

Michael Carter-Williams went from having three options before him into being "the guy".

He had to learn on his heels after being a reserve who added a few points a game.

Through mistakes and successes, Carter-Williams would look like a true freshman one moment and a veteran the next.

Ultimately, his efforts aided the Orange to the Final Four last season, with his 6'6" stature helping him have an advantage over many opponents.

He will get his first taste of professional competition during the Orlando Summer League, happening in Orlando, Florida, from July 7th to the 12th after being drafted to the Philadelphia 76ers at 11th overall.

Carter-Williams will have an opportunity to make a case for himself to be the Sixers' new starting point guard with Jrue Holiday being a trade asset.
