Under Armour Lax Classic set for Saturday

The 8th Annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic will take place this Saturday, July 6, at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium and will showcase 88 of the nation's top senior high school talent on the girl's and boy's side. Syracuse, alongside Duke and Maryland, headline this year's games with six All-Americans each. Preview of the players inside.

Syracuse University's men's and women's lacrosse teams will see a total of eight All-American's, six on the men's side and two on the women's side, respectively. Here is a quick recap of the 2013 Syracuse commits who will call The Hill home in just a few, short months:

Jordan Evans -

Hometown: Dewitt, N.Y.

High School: Jamesville-Dewitt

Position: Attack

Additional information: In his senior season, Evans had 82 goals and 100 assists and solidified himself as the all-time points leader at Jamesville Dewitt. He is a two-time All-League selection and led the Rams to two New York State titles in 2010 and 2011.

Scott Firman -

Hometown: Fayetteville, N.Y.

High School: Jamesville-Dewitt

Position: Defense (Long-stick middie)

Additional information: Firman tallied 12 goals, five assists and scooped up 70 groundballs. He is a three-time All-CNY selection and earned All-League honors.

Parker Ferrigan -

Hometown: Baldwinsville, N.Y.

High School: Baldwinsville

Position: Goalie

Additional information: Ferrigan notched a .743 goals against average and accumulated 237 saves in his senior season. The net minder also had one goal and three assists. He is a three-time All-League selection, earning first-team honors twice.

J.T. Forkin – Hometown: Long Beach, N.Y.

High School: Long Beach

Position: Midfield

Additional information: Aside from his statistics (56 goals, 17 assists and 32 groundballs), Forkin was named Nassau County Attackman of the Year and was first team All Tri-State and All-Long Island.

Nick Weston –

Hometown: Honeoye Falls, N.Y.

High School: Salisbury School

Position: Midfield

Additional information: Weston found the back of the net 30 times and dished out 35 dimes in his senior season and is three-time first team All-League selection. He was also chosen to the All-Greater Rochester team.

Dylan Maltz –

Hometown: Ashburn, VA

High School: Stonebridge

Position: Attack

Additional information: Maltz had 49 goals, 39 assists and 79 groundballs this past season. He is Stonebridge's all-time leader in assists (130), goals (190) and points (320). Maltz surpassed the previous leader, his older brother, Derek, who will be a senior at Syracuse this season. The Ashburn native was a three-time All-Virginia Northern Region, four-time All-League and was named Offensive Player of the Year twice.

On the girl's side: Taylor Poplawski

Hometown: Lafayette, N.Y.

High School: Christian Brothers Academy

Position: Attack

Additional information: Poplawski tallied 31 goals, 22 assists and 38 groundballs for head coach Doug Sedgwick. Lead her team to a State title win and two Regional Championships. Five-time First Team All-League selection.

Kelsey Youmell

Hometown: Jordan, N.Y.

High School: Jordan Elbridge

Position: Midfield

Additional information: The midfielder posted 59 goals, 13 assists and 19 groundballs during her senior season. Two-time First Team All-League selection.
