With experience playing professionally, Melo heads back to Summer League with an opportunity to leave a good impression. More inside.

After being drafted by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft, former Syracuse Orange center Fab Melo spent most of his time with the Maine Red Claws in the NBA's development league, the NBDL.

Heading into the summer this year,Melo was placed back on the Celtics roster, giving him an opportunity to show his team his worth.

In his first game at Orlando Summer League,Melo scored nine points on 3-for-5 shooting from the field, which he matched on the free throw line.

Known for blocking shots while at Syracuse,Melo finished with one block against the Orlando Magic's Summer League team, which included the second-overall pick in this year's draft, Victor Oladipo.
