Orange Basketball Commitment Calculator

While Syracuse's 2014 class will be smaller than its 2013 counterpart, the Orange are still looking to bring in some elite talent. breaks down the odds of Syracuse's chances with their top targets inside.

The scale is 1-star to 5-stars, with 5-stars being most likely the prospect will commit to Syracuse.

Kaleb Joseph – 4-stars: The talented point guard continues to impress during the summer AAU season. Syracuse is tracking him wherever he goes and have been the school recruiting him the hardest. Joseph mentions the Orange during every interview. Ultimately, I believe he ends up at Syracuse.

Isaiah Whitehead – 3-stars: One of the most talented players in the class, Whitehead has his choice of several schools. Louisville and Minnesota are in on him hard, and Kentucky is lurking as well. The Wildcats may not offer, but if they do they are always a threat. Syracuse has been in on Whitehead the longest, and it could come down to his experience on visits to each school.

Goodluck Okonoboh – 3-stars: Syracuse has recruited Okonoboh for a long time, and his reclassification to 2014 opened up the doors for the Orange to stay involved. His defensive abilities are a perfect fit for the center of the zone. However, Louisville and Duke are involved as well. This is a 50/50 shot at best for Syracuse.

Paschal Chukwu – 2-stars: He does not hold an offer yet, but Syracuse has been showing interest. The Orange will only take one of the two centers, and Chukwu's status could depend on Okonoboh's. Syracuse's interest is something to monitor, but I don't believe they stay heavily involved.

JaQuan Newton – 1-star: The Orange have not been involved here lately, and I don't see them picking up that interest. If they feel the only way to land Whitehead is to grab Newton as well, they could become involved down the road. For now, though, don't expect to see Syracuse in this one.
