Aaron Roberts was supposed to visit Syracuse this weekend with the chance that the Orange could receive a verbal from the talented offensive lineman prospect. Those plans changed late Thursday night, however.
"Don't think I will be making it to Syracuse tomorrow," Roberts tweeted. "But my decision will be pushed back."
CuseNation.com followed up with Roberts Friday morning, where he confirmed via text that he will be not taking the trip east, at least for now.
"I'm not taking the visit today," Roberts said.
He later added that he is still planning on visiting the Orange, but does not have an exact timeframe.
Should Syracuse fans panic about the latest developments? Maybe not.
"Nothing major," Roberts said of the reason why he postponed the visit and his decision. "Just simply found out it was a bad weekend for my parents and I to go."
Roberts also added that this decision had nothing to do with losing interest in Syracuse and does not change where the Orange stand with him. They are still up at the top with Illinois.
He appears to just want to take a step back and make sure he evaluates all options. For now, it looks like Roberts recruitment will go into the season.
