Joseph Commits to Syracuse

The Orange identified Kaleb Joseph as a priority in 2014 very early in the recruiting process and have been recruiting him hard ever since. That work had paid off as Joseph gave his verbal commitment during an on campus visit over the weekend.

Kaleb Joseph trimmed his list to three schools at the end of July. One of those schools stood out among the others, however. Syracuse had been a dream school for Joseph and has a program with more recent (and historical) success than Providence and West Virginia.

While that didn't mean the decision was a slam dunk, the Orange seemed to be in a good spot. Over the weekend, Joseph traveled to the Syracuse campus with his parents in tow to see if it was the right fit.

After spending time with the coaching staff, the players, and touring the facilities, the four star point guard decided that was the place for him.

Joseph joins five star Chris McCullough to form a very strong pair for Syracuse's 2014 class, and two that can contribute right away.

The Ashburnham (MA) Cushing Academy product also had offers from Boston College, Connecticut, Kansas State, Marquette, Maryland, Ohio State and Tennessee.
