ACC play is in full swing despite Syracuse having a bye week. John Garcia Jr. and Mike McAllister are neck and neck with only a few weeks left in the season.

Current Standings

McAllister: 54-13
Garcia Jr: 54-13

So on to week nine…

Wake Forest at Miami

McAllister: Miami stumbled a bit last week but was able to pull off a last second victory. The Hurricanes get back on track this week with a comfortable win over a less talented Wake Forest squad. Miami 31 Wake Forest 13

Garcia Jr: Wake has stepped up their play over the last few weeks, but won't be able to hang with "The U." Miami pulls away in the third quarter and wins 38-17.

Georgia Tech at Virginia

McAllister: After a dominating performance, Georgia Tech faces a much better defense this week on the road. The Cavs are in desperate need of a win, and pull off the small upset at home. Virginia 24 Georgia Tech 21.

Garcia Jr: The Yellow Jackets won't be able to run for nearly 400-yards this week, but they will have success in their vaunted triple option attack. Virginia has a solid defense, but will continue to struggle offensively. Georgia Tech 31 Virginia 17.

Pittsburgh at Navy

McAllister: Navy will keep the game close for a half, but Pittsburgh is more talented. They will pull away in the second half with their superior athletes at the skill positions. Pittsburgh 34 Navy 20.

Garcia Jr: Navy will control the clock with their ground attack as the Middy's keep things close for a while. But Pittsburgh will be able to make enough plays as they pull away late. Pitt 31 Navy 21.

North Carolina State at Florida State

McAllister: The Wolfpack have not won a conference game yet this season, and that won't change on the road against one of the best teams in the country. Jameis Winston has another huge day as the Seminoles roll. Florida State 41 N.C. State 13.

Garcia Jr: The Pack ended Florida State's perfect season a year ago. The Seminoles will have revenge on their mind and won't have a let down after their dominant performance the week before. Florida State 42 N.C. State 14

Clemson at Maryland

McAllister: The Terps continue to have injury issues and Clemson is eager to get back on track after their disappointing performance against Florida State. The Tigers win in blowout fashion 52-10.

Garcia Jr: Maryland's strong start to the season appears to be a figment of our imagination. The banged up Terps fall to a Clemson team trying to erase the memories of last week's home loss. Clemson 42 Maryland 7.

Boston College at North Carolina

McAllister: Two teams headed in opposite directions clash on Saturday. However, North Carolina has more talent on their roster and that has to show eventually this season. The Tar Heels defend their home field 27-24.

Garcia Jr: Boston College continues to play well this season and will be able to use their strong rushing attack to control this game on the road. Andre Williams hits 200-yards on the ground as the Eagles win 31-24.

Duke at Virginia Tech

McAllister: Duke has an explosive offense, but Virginia Tech's defense is too good and the Hokies are coming off of a bye. Tech improves to 4-0 in conference play as their offense makes just enough plays to pull this one out in a close than expected contest. Virginia Tech 28 Duke 23.

Garcia Jr: The best defense in the ACC matches up an offense that can put up points against almost anyone. Coming off a bye, the Hokies defense proves to be too much as Logan Thomas is finally back healthy. Virginia Tech 31 Duke 17.
