Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse notched its third consecutive win on the premature season over Colgate, 69-50, Saturday evening at the Carrier Dome.
C.J. Fair erupted for 13 of Syracuse's first 15 points early in the first half and continued into the second, scoring the team's first four points. Colgate tried its best to contain him, but the senior had his way in the paint. He finished with 20 points on the evening.
In his first two games from downtown, freshman point guard Tyler Ennis was a measly 0-2. He was four-for-six from three-point range against Colgate. Ennis finished with 12 points.
The defense stayed the course and forced over 20 Colgate turnovers. The full-court pressure also gave the Raiders fits in spurts throughout the first half.
