Terrel Hunt wins Texas Bowl MVP

Terrel Hunt did just enough to help the Orange to a 21-17 victory in the Texas Bowl on Friday. His efforts won him the most valuable player award in the win.

Terrel Hunt certainly had his struggles throughout the 2013 season. Over the last two games prior to the Texas Bowl, he shows marked signs of improvement.

On Friday, he led Syracuse to a 21-17 victory over Minnesota to cap a 7-6 year for the Orange. He finished 7-4 as a starter.

In the bowl win, Hunt finished 19-29 passing for 188-yards. He also ran for 74-yards (tying Jerome Smith for the team lead) and two scoring totes.

In a season of ups and downs, it was a strong way for Hunt to finish the year as he looks to take that momentum into the quarterback battle entering 2014.
