Syracuse commit Tyler Lydon, four star 2015 forward, was one of three recruits on campus to watch the Orange face Villanova as part of a top-10 matchup. The atmosphere in the Dome was electric, and the talented prospect took notice.
"I thought the game was great," Lydon said. "Obviously we got off to a bit of a slow start but I was confident in our ability to come back. As far as the atmosphere, there is nothing else like it out there I don't think.
"It was pretty crazy. There were times when I was trying to talk to my dad and I couldn't even hear anything. I enjoyed it and I can't wait to be out there."
After the game was over and the media had left the locker room, Lydon was able to spend some time with the players and coaches. Specifically, he spoke with head coach Jim Boeheim and his primary recruiter Mike Hopkins.
"I got to go into the locker room after the game," Lydon said. "I got to say hi to some of the players. I talked to coach Boeheim and coach Hopkins and some of the other assistants. It was good.
"We just talked about the future and how they see me coming in. Just that they're really excited about me and can't wait until I get there."
Lydon was able to talk to the other recruits that were in attendance as well, albeit briefly.
"I talked to Thomas (Bryant) a little bit," Lydon said. "Just said hi and stuff, and talked about some of the games he's played in. I met Donte Divincenzo for the first time. We didn't really talk about where Syracuse stands or anything."
The four star forward loves Syracuse and couldn't be happier with his decision. So is this the last time he will check out the Ornage in person?
"It's going to be tough," Lydon said. "As far as getting up there because of my basketball schedule. Things get pretty crazy. I'm not too sure. I couldn't really say right now but hopefully I will."
