Kinder transferring to Stony Brook

John Kind announced he is transferring out of the Syracuse program. Details inside.

Syracuse junior John Kinder, who switched position from quarterback to wide receiver this fall, has announced he will leave the Orange and transfer to Stony Brook.

"Excited to be a seawolf...ready to finally play some ball. I will forever bleed ORANGE," Kinder said on Twitter.

The move does not come as a surprise to When Josh Manley and James Washington transferred last month, we hinted in our premium forum that more could be on the way. Kinder was certainly part of that.

By transferring down a level, Kinder will be able to play right away in the 2014 season. With the abundance of young talent Syracuse will have at wide receiver next season, he wasn't likely to see the field in his final season. The move gives him the ability to play regularly for the first time at the college level.
