Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic tight end Adly Enoicy committed to Syracuse during his official visit over the weekend. He was a big get for the Orange as they look to improve their offensive playmaking ability.
George McDonald does it again. He hits up the Sunshine State and lands a talented player with a big offer list. The pipeline to Florida for Syracuse continues to get stronger.
This will be a key as the Orange look to take the next step in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Landing a talent like Enoicy gives notice that Syracuse can be a player in the state.
Offensive playmakers were a big weakness for Syracuse in 2013. The Syracuse staff hit the recruiting trail hard to try to change that. They have been successful so far in landing speed and athleticism on the outside.
Landing Enoicy gives them a tight end who can be a big matchup problem for the opposition. He has the size to be a nightmare for corners and speed to run by linebackers.
Enoicy is the new-age tight end that can split out wide and create problems in the red zone. He will have to improve his blocking, but certainly has the ability to be real threat in this offense.
Where Does Syracuse Go From Here?
Look for Syracuse to try to lock him up over the next couple of days before signing day.
Enoicy has an offer list that will make people wonder, "how did Syracuse land him?" That's big for the Orange from a national perception standpoint. It furthers Syracuse's reach into Florida, and gives them a talented player that could help the offense. This was a huge win for Syracuse.
