Edouard joins the Orange

Alin Edouard gives Syracuse raw skill and talent at the quarterback position to battle alongside A.J. Long as the potential future signal caller for the Orange. He breaks down signing his letter of intent inside.

Hialeah (Fla.) High quarterback Alin Edouard is a former Miami commit who chose to follow George McDonald to Syracuse. On Wednesday, he made his intentions official.

"It's a great feeling knowing that I'm starting my four years in college," Edouard said. "Starting a new life and continuing the journey to success with God's blessing."

Edouard is looking forward to playing with offensive coordinator George McDonald, who he views as a father figure.

"I look up to him like a father," Edouard said. "We have such a good relationship. I have to go out there and give it my all, just like he gave it his all when he was recruiting me."

Having Edouard's talented friends from his home state doesn't hurt either.

"It's great," Edouard said. "Knowing that I've been playing with Juwan (Dowels) in the 7-on-7s before and I know what he's capable of doing. Steve (Ishmael) on the hand hand is a big pick up. We got a good one."

What is Edouard looking forward to when he arrives at Syracuse?

"Just becoming more as a man and walking out with a degree in my hands," Edouard said.
