Streaking

Syracuse defeated Pittsburgh inside the Petersen Event Center Wednesday night. CuseNation.com takes a look at the streaks involved in the win inside.

Syracuse's win Wednesday night was epic. It was spectacular. It was unbelievable. It also extended, snapped or created streaks for the Orange and Pittsburgh.

Syracuse extended its longest winning streak to start a season to 24 games.

Syracuse also set a new school record with 24 consecutive wins overall.

The win also extended Syracuse's school record winning streak to start a conference season, now at 11.

Pittsburgh had been 9-0 all-time against top teams at The Pete. Syracuse snapped that streak Wednesday night.

Pittsburgh had won six of the last seven meetings at The Pete against Syracuse. The Orange snapped that streak as well.

Tyler Ennis' streak of not turning the ball over in the final five minutes was snapped Wednesday night. He kind of made up for that, however.

With the win, Syracuse preserves its number one ranking for the time being. Should they defeat North Carolina State on Saturday, they would be the nation's top ranked team for the third consecutive week.
