Syracuse falls on senior day

Syracuse loses their fourth in the last five games to Georgia Tech on senior night inside the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse could not get out of their own way on senior night as Georgia Tech stunned the Orange in front of 26,766 Carrier Dome fans.

Georgia Tech controlled things from the start, racing out to a 31-23 halftime lead. Every time Syracuse tried to get back in it in the second half, Tech responded with a bucket.

C.J. Fair tried to make his senior night memorable with 28 points and 8 rebounds, but his efforts fell short as Syracuse could not get enough stops.

The Orange, trailing by double figures for most of the final frame, made a furious rally late. Turnovers and missed opportunities would haunt Syracuse in this one. The Yellow Jackets escaped with a 67-62 lead.

Syracuse fell to 26-4 on the season, and faces Florida State on March 9th for the regular season finale.
