Syracuse picked up its second class of 2015 commitment in as many days on Friday with the news of Gerald Robinson Jr.'s commitment to the ACC program.
The three-star cornerback prospect out of Hialeah (Fla.) Champagnat announced the news online and it was conformed by CuseNation.com shortly after.
Despite not having visited Central New York, the 5-foot-11, 170-pounder picked the Orange over other scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, UCF and Utah.
South Florida recruiter and Syracuse offensive coordinator George McDonald was Robinson's primary recruiter, helping SU back into the area after a big haul in the 2014 signging class.
Robinson is currently the highest rated commitment thus far for Syracuse, which has three commitments within the class. He also represents the first out-of-state pledge. In-state running back Jordan Fredericks gave his commitment on Thursday evening.
