Boudreaux 'excited' about Syracuse offer

2016 offensive tackle Parker Boudreaux is already over 20 offers. His most recent, from Syracuse, is one that caused excitement for the junior prospect. He discusses the Orange with inside.

Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore offensive tackle Parker Boudreaux is one of the most popular Florida prospects in the 2016 class. He has a ton of offers to choose from, and added another to his list on Tuesday when Syracuse extended a scholarship opportunity.

"I called coach Adam yesterday for the second time," Boudreaux said. "He said he had the chance to check out my film and he said he loved what he saw. He told me to give him a call the next day because they were going to go over my film as a staff.

"I called him and he said ‘we love everything about you and we are giving you a full ride scholarship to Syracuse to come play for us.' I am pretty excited about it."

Boudreaux is still learning about Syracuse. That doesn't mean his is completely unfamiliar with them, however.

"I know they are a great program," Boudreaux said. "They are moving into the ACC and getting a new offensive line coach, coach Adam. I know they play in a sweet dome and have great coaches and facilities."

One part of the program that the 6-foot-4 tackle knows the best is their offensive line coach Joe Adam. The two are developing a solid relationship which could help the Orange down the stretch.

"I have known coach Adam for weeks now," Boudreaux said. "I think he is one of the coolest offensive line coaches I've met so far. He's not only a great coach but a great person."

Still very early in the process, Boudreaux is still taking it all in and is not ready to shorten his list quite yet.

"This summer I'm going to sit down and do research on all of the schools that have offered me," Boudreaux said. "No early favorites but I am interested in Syracuse."

While nothing is scheduled yet, Boudreaux is going to try to set up a visit to Syracuse over the summer. He currently holds over 20 offers, including from Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Miami, N.C. State, Penn State, South Florida and many others.
