Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward linebacker Troy Henderson has plenty of options to choose from with nine offers. But recently, the three-star talent has been focused on three schools.
Henderson has a specific reason why he likes each of the three programs.
Cincinnati: "They're close to home. My parents could come easily to the games. My friends could come watch me play. Guys I grew up playing ball with go there. I have a good relationship with their defensive coordinator (Hank Hughes)."
Rutgers: "They're a Big Ten school. I would get to play every school that didn't recruit me. They have an Ohio guy on the staff so that would help. They are also good academically and I have a lot of family in the area. I might go visit them on Friday."
Syracuse: "They are a very good academic school. I like the coaching staff and my position coach (Clark Lea). It's not too far away from Cleveland. They play in one of the best conference sin the country. There is also an opportunity to play early."
Henderson has already visited Syracuse once, but hopes to again along with the Bearcats and Scarlet Knights before choosing which school is the right fit.
"Most likely August 1st," Henderson said. "Or sooner. I'll take my visits and see if I feel at home somewhere. I'll decide then if no one else offers me."
