Recruiting Weekend Primer

CuseNation.com takes a look at who will be on campus visiting Syracuse this weekend as the Orange prepare for the Florida State Seminoles.

Even with all of the turmoil for Syracuse football over the last week, the Orange still have an important recruiting weekend ahead. Several key targets will be on campus as the Orange face top-ranked and defending national champion Florida State. Here is a list of who will be visiting.

School: Lowell High School (Lowell, MA)
Notes: Committed to Syracuse. This is an unofficial visit.

Player: Christopher Fredrick
Class: 2015
Position: Safety
Rating: 3-star
Positional Rank: #136 S
Height/Weight: 6-foot-2/180 lbs.
School: Cedar Grove High School (Ellenwood, GA)
Notes: Committed to Syracuse. This is an unofficial visit.

Player: Robert Washington
Class: 2016

Notes: This is his first visit to Syracuse. He also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Duke, Florida, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, Stanford, TCU, Tennessee, UCLA, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and many more.

Notes: This is Peek’s second trip to Syracuse. He recently visited Notre Dame as well.

Player: Moe Neal

School: Forestview High School (Gastonia, NC)
Notes: This is Neal’s first visit to Syracuse. He is friends with Robert Washington. He can play multiple positions and is considered an athlete by Syracuse.

Position: Running Back

School: Ocean Township High School (Oakhurst, NJ)
Notes: Thompson is one of assistant Bobby Acosta’s targets in this class. It is his first trip to Syracuse.
UPDATE: Thompson is longer making the trip because he says his mom is going to Florida. He does plan to visit soon, however.

Notes: Aapri is the cousin of Robert Washington. He can play multiple positions and is more of an athlete than a definitive corner.

Notes: Syracuse is Jordan-Williams only offer for the time being. He could end up being a popular prospect in the northeast.

Notes: Gallman is also an athlete and can play some corner as well.

Player: Malachi Richardson

School: Trenton Catholic Academy (Hamilton, NJ)
Notes: This will be Richardson's official visit. Fellow class of 2015 Syracuse basketball commit Moustapha Diagne will attend the Florida State game as well, but he is in town for a wedding not on a visit.

Player: Tyus Battle
Class: 2016
Position: Guard/Forward
Rating: 5-star
Positional Rank: #3 SF
Height/Weight: 6-foot-6/195 lbs
School: Gill St. Bernards (Gladstone, NJ)
Notes: Battle has visited Syracuse multiple times, but has never received a tour of the campus. This will be a good chance for the Orange to continue to develop a strong relationship with arguably their top 2016 target and one of the best players in his class.

The Dome should be rocking on Saturday, and that will play a part in impressing these talented targets.
