Garcia Jr.: 34-15
McAllister: The Bearcats are better than people think and Miami has been a little disappointing. That said, this one is at home and the ‘Canes still have more talent on their roster. Expect the Miami defense to frustrate a Cincy offense without their signal caller. Miami 31 Cincinnati 17.
Garcia Jr.: Tommy Tubberville will have a trick up his sleeve, but without former five-star quarterback Gunner Kiel, the ‘Cane should do just enough to win this battle of former Big East teams. Miami 27 Cincy 23.
homedawg Miami gets a break catching Cincinnati without starting QB Gunner Kiel. The Bearcats didn't look all that good without him last week, and I don't see that changing this week at Miami. Brad Kaaya is getting better as the season progresses, which is a good thing for the Canes since he was the weak link early on. I like Miami in this one, 38-14.
McAllister: Syracuse is missing their starting quarterback, their top two receivers, best interior defensive lineman, starting right tackle and several others as they face the best team in the country. Still, the Orange could hang for a quarter but the ‘Noles will pull away after that. Florida State 41 Syracuse 10.
Garcia Jr.: Too much on the line for FSU and too much speed for the ‘Noles, combined with Florida State not looking like Florida State spells doom for the Orange. Florida State 48 Syracuse 20.
homedawg Up until this past week I actually thought Syracuse had a shot to make this a game. Well that all went up in smoke after one of the more chaotic, in-season weeks I can remember for this Syracuse program. Now, despite FSU injuries, it will be lucky if Cuse can get on the scoreboard. Throw in Eric Crume missing the game, and the floodgates could open. I hope Cuse keeps it respectful, but I don't have much faith left. FSU 42 Cuse 3.
McAllister: Duke’s offense can score and will do so a bit in this one, but the triple option is clicking on all cylinders. Tech has the perfect personnel for their scheme and their defense has been solid as well. The Yellow Jackets win somewhat comfortably at home. Georgia Tech 34 Duke 23.
Garcia Jr.: Duke is still banged up up-front and that isn’t one of their stronger units to begin with. The Rambling Wreck is great at home and the fighting Cutcliffe’s haven’t put it all together yet. Georgia Tech 31 Duke 21.
homedawg I'm pretty amazed Georgia Tech has made it to 5-0. I am equally surprised that Duke went down last week at Miami. With that said I have absolutely no idea who wins this game, so because of my hatred for Paul Johnson I'll just take Duke 30-28.
McAllister: One of the better games of the weekend on paper, this one could get away from Louisville early. Their offense has been extremely inconsistent this season and the Tigers have found something with Deshaun Watson. Clemson 31 Louisville 17.
Garcia Jr.: Both defenses do not get the credit they deserve, but only quarterback should get more than he deserves. DeShaun Watson continues to storm the ACC with another win at home. Clemson 34 Louisville 21.
homedawg This could be a low scoring game at Death Valley. Louisville's offense didn't impress me one bit last week at Syracuse. Their defense on the other hand is pretty special. Clemson, who relied on their defense early on, has caught a spark with true Freshman QB DeShaun Watson. While they still will rely on their defense, their offense has picked up enough steam where they should get by the Cards relatively easy at home. 24-9.
Boston College at NC State
McAllister: After a huge upset win over USC, the Eagles tripped up against Colorado State. Now they hit the road to face an improved Wolfpack bunch on a two game losing streak. The tumble continues for State as their defense continues to give up a bunch of yards on the ground and points on the scoreboard. Boston College 27 NC State 21.
Garcia Jr.: In a rare dual threat quarterback dual, Tyler Murphy will be beat out by a needing to rebound Jacoby Brissett after easily the worst quarterback performance in the ACC… including all Wake quarterback performances. NC State 30 BC 20.
homedawg Here's another game that could go either way. Will you see the BC team that beat USC, or got beat by Colorado St? How about the NCST that started 4-0 and had FSU on the ropes early. Or will it be the NCST that couldn't do a thing against Clemson? Another crapshoot, and you can always count on Addazzio when things are mucky. BC 34 NCST 33.
McAllister: The Irish are caught in the middle of Stanford and Florida State. This is a classic trap game against a Tar Heels squad with offensive talent. Notre Dame will score, but UNC will score more. The Irish’s undefeated season ends at home. North Carolina 38 Notre Dame 35.
Garcia Jr.: I think I could total 300-yards of offense against Larry Fedora’s defense, and Everett Golson is a much better athlete than me. Notre Dame gets a nice tune-up before their title with Florida State. Notre Dame 47 UNC 24.
homedawg A week after being in a defensive struggle against Stanford, Notre Dame will welcome a defensively inept North Carolina. UNC could be 1 bad loss away from their season spiraling out of control, something that may surely land Larry Fedora on the hot seat. I just don't see any way UNC can keep this one close. ND 48 UNC 17.
