Keivonnis Davis out of Miami Central High School is another prospect from Florida to commit to Syracuse without visiting. The three-star defensive end thought it was a great opportunity for him to play right away and developed a good relationship with his primary recruiter, George McDonald.
With Syracuse losing two starting defensive ends and a reserve to graduation, there is an opportunity to join the rotation immediately. The Orange need pass rushing ends who can also play the run, and Davis provides that type of ability.
Davis calls himself "an animal on the field" with his relentless motor. That will fit right into the way Syracuse plays on the defensive side of the ball. He like "blowing big guys up," which will endear himself to the Orange faithful from the moment he arrives on campus.
