Lindor, Syracuse part ways

Tight end prospect West Lindor and Syracuse have decided to move on. Lindor is no longer part of Syracuse's 2015 class.

As premium members have known since November 21st, St. Louis (Mo.) Affton High tight end West Lindor is no longer part of Syracuse's 2015 class. Lindor informed CuseNation of his decision Monday evening.

A source says the Orange's new offensive philosophy was looking for a different type of tight end, and Lindor's skill set was better served in a different type of system. As a result of the recruiting philosophy change, Syracuse moved in another direction. Lindor decided to do the same. Th source also indicated both sides were aware of the situation.

The staff had not been actively recruiting him, and Lindor indicated that he had not heard from them since September.

The move leaves Syracuse at 22 committed players. They have a big recruiting weekend coming up this weekend with 15 prospects on campus.
